Shair sochon ke dareechon me nehaan hote hain..
Shair hote hain to jazbaat bayaan hote hain...

Rasm e guftar me jal jate hain sab khwab o khayal..
Raakh hote hain kabhi jal ke dhuaan hote hain..

Lafz hain in ka badan aur sukhan in ka lahoo..
Ghazl ke saaye me pal kar ye jawaan hote hain..

In se khulte hain dilon k sabhi raazo arsan..
Zulm ki aah muhabbat ki zubaan hote hain..

Dil me to gham ka samandar hai ek behne ko..
Ik bahana hai ye aansu jo rawaan hote hain..

Nahi naseeb tujh me pehlon sa andaz e bayan..
Tere shairon me bhi wo shair kahaan hote hain..
